Tratto is a Northern Italian restaurant on Geary Street in Union Square, led by Chef Gian Marco Cosmi — trained at ALMA in Parma and rooted in the traditions of Emilia-Romagna. We make our pasta by hand daily, build menus around the seasons, celebrate local ingredients and keep the table at the center of everything. Open for breakfast, lunch, aperitivo hour, and dinner — seven days a week. Reservations preferred, walk-ins welcome.

Begin with Tartare della Rita—our signature take on filet mignon tartare with parmesan, balsamic pearls, and lemon zest or indulge in our ravioli carbonara, filled with rich egg yolk and finished with guanciale and pecorino foam. From vibrant beet risotto with goat cheese cream and rosemary to house-made squid ink spaghetti with Manila clams, garlic, and white wine—each dish is designed to capture the essence of the season.
